What you can decorate with

Yes, you can decorate the bus. Balloons, streamers, posters, printed signs, banners hung with ribbon, sashes, and table-style centerpieces on the bar are all welcome, and you can set up at pickup while the driver loads coolers. Photographers, videographers, and signage for wedding and quinceañera arrivals are fine as long as nothing damages the vehicle.

Buses with a dance pole can usually have it removed or wrapped in balloons on request — ask when you book. The rule of thumb for everything else: if it leaves a mark or a sparkle, it stays home.

What is not allowed, and why

• Glitter of any kind. Glitter confetti, glitter balloons, glitter table scatter. It never fully comes out of leather seams or carpet, which is why it carries the largest fee on the list: $350.
• Tape and adhesives that damage paint, mirrors, or upholstery. Painter's tape peels finish; Command strips pull vinyl. Use ribbon, suction cups, or balloon weights instead.
• Open flame. Candles and sparkler candles are a fire risk in a moving cabin. Do the cake and candles at a stop.
• Anything attached to the emergency roof exit. Opening or damaging it is $250, and standing through it is illegal.
• Confetti cannons and poppers. They count as excessive mess ($250 sanitation) and the paper jams the LED channels.

Decoration ideas that work on a moving bus

• Balloon garland on ribbon looped through the overhead grab rails — no tape, no marks, and it survives 40 mph.
• LED letter balloons or a light-up "21" or "Bride" weighted on the bar. They photograph better than paper in the cabin's colored lighting.
• A printed itinerary sign at the door: stops, times, and the driver's first name. It doubles as a photo prop.
• Sashes, crowns, and matching shirts travel with people, not the bus — zero cleanup.
• Custom playlist QR code taped to a balloon weight, not the wall.

Occasion notes

Birthdays (28% of Phoenix requests) are the most decorated rides. Set the balloon garland at the first pickup and leave 10 minutes for it. Bachelorette parties lean on sashes and a light-up sign; skip glitter sashes. Proms and quinceañeras decorate the exterior for photos — a magnetic sign on a steel panel is fine, a taped poster is not. Weddings get a ribbon-hung "Just Married" sign on the rear window; leave the front windshield and mirrors clear for the driver.

Taking it down

Whatever goes up comes down before you step off. Toss balloons and streamers in the onboard trash or your own bags.
