We load at the apartments off Apache Boulevard, at houses south of the US-60, at hotels along Town Lake, and we put everyone at the door instead. A typical Saturday looks like an early pickup for the tailgate, the walk into Mountain America Stadium, then the bus waiting where you left it. Afterward the group rolls straight to Mill or over to the breweries south of the 202, and nobody moves a car all evening.
Non-game nights run lighter. Dinner at Tempe Marketplace, a couple of taprooms, then a late stop downtown. Groups coming from out of town like that everything sits within about ten minutes of everything else, so the booking gets spent in places rather than on freeways.

How a Tempe night actually runs
Tempe is small, and that works in your favor. From Warner Ranch or the Lakes in the south, Mill is about fifteen minutes. From the student blocks on Rural Road it's five. Short hops mean the clock gets spent where you're standing, not on a freeway.
Mill Avenue itself is the fussy part. Streetcar rails run down it, the bike lanes are busy, and there's no room for anything long to sit at the curb, so your driver uses a legal stop a block off and comes back when you text.
Apartment pickups go better from the street than from a parking garage, and ASU property runs on the university's own event rules rather than the city's. Everything else is close: Old Town is six or seven miles north, the downtown arenas about ten west, and the airport barely five from Town Lake, which the Sky Harbor guide covers. When Tempe groups tend to book
Concert crowds decide last. Across the Valley, show and festival groups come to us later than any other kind, usually once the tickets are already bought — and August is the month that fills first, which is exactly when a walk from a far lot is worst. For a night at Marquee or a festival at Beach Park, ask the day you buy the tickets.

Bar nights are the flexible ones. Friday and Saturday are almost dead even for night-out groups, and the typical crew is about fourteen, which is a Sprinter limo exactly. If the Saturday you wanted is gone, Friday isn't a downgrade. These are Valley-wide numbers, not just Tempe.

Mill Avenue fills after nine on a weekend. What that means for you is simple: we aim to be in your driveway earlier than feels necessary, so the queue happens while you're already aboard rather than while you're still waiting.
