What to Bring on a Party Bus (and What to Leave Home)

Blog article — planning your Phoenix event

The five-item checklist

Every party bus and limousine has a bar area stocked with ice and bottled water, a Bluetooth sound system, LED lighting, air conditioning, trash cans, and usually spare trash bags. You supply the rest, and the rest is short:

  1. Plastic cups. Glass is discouraged for safety and breaks on the first speed bump.
  2. A cooler with fresh ice. The onboard ice gets the night started; a cooler keeps hour four as cold as hour one.
  3. Your own drinks (21+). We do not sell alcohol and do not hold a liquor license. Sealed cans and plastic bottles travel best.
  4. A charged phone with the playlist. Settle the aux debate before pickup.

What to leave at home

  • Glass. Bottles, growlers, wine glasses. Decant into plastic before you board.
  • Food. Not allowed on the vehicle. Your driver will stop for meals — a sit-down dinner shows up in about one in forty Phoenix itineraries and adds roughly 90 minutes.
  • Large backpacks on underage events unless a parent or guardian is riding.

Packing for Phoenix heat

From May through September the cabin AC is fighting 105°F outside. Double the ice you think you need, bring water for every rider (not just the bar's supply), and plan indoor stops between 2 and 6 pm. July is the quietest month for group rides in the Valley (5% of the year) — and the peak month for bar crawls, because groups move the party from patios into an air-conditioned bus. If the itinerary includes a pool stop, bring towels in a bag that can sit on the floor.

Cooler math

A standard 48-quart cooler holds about 60 cans with ice. For a 20-person, 4-hour ride, two coolers and two bags of ice is the usual load.

By event type

  • Bachelor and bachelorette parties (59% of Phoenix requests with birthdays): cups, coolers, a Bluetooth speaker backup, sashes and balloons, no glitter. Bachelorette groups book longer — 30% reserve 6+ hours — so pack for the whole arc: brunch, pool, dinner, Old Town.
  • Birthdays: balloons and a banner are fine; hang nothing with tape. Candles are a fire risk — do the cake at a stop.
  • Prom and quinceañeras: sparkling cider, sodas, plastic flutes, a garment bag hook is not standard so bring a hanger clip. A parent or guardian rides if alcohol is on board with minors.
  • Weddings: a "Just Married" sign that hangs without adhesive, a small emergency kit, and a printed shuttle schedule for the driver.
  • Game days and concerts: tickets on phones, chargers, and a plan for the exit crush — 28% of concert groups book 6+ hours for exactly that.

Bring the itinerary too

Unlimited stops, multiple home pickups, and split drop-offs are all included as long as they fit your booked hours. Give the driver every address before departure so the route is realistic and you have buffer. Four hours is what 78% of Phoenix groups book; if dinner is on the list, most want the fifth hour. Quick Booking Tips

1

Book Weekends Early

49% of Phoenix requests are Saturdays and 43% of the year's rides land February–May. A 50% deposit locks the date.

2

Know Your Headcount

Book from the confirmed list plus two. Swapping vehicles after the contract is signed is difficult because neighbors book up.

3

Send Every Stop

Unlimited stops, multiple pickups, and split drop-offs are included inside your hours — share them so the route is realistic.

4

Cups, Cooler, Ice

BYOB for guests 21+. Plastic cups, a cooler, and fresh ice; no glass, no food on board, no glitter.
