Start with the minimum for your date
Hours are the biggest lever on your quote, and the floor depends on the date, not the vehicle:
- Friday and Saturday nights: 4-hour minimum.
- Sunday through Thursday, and Friday or Saturday trips ending before 5 pm: 3-hour minimum when that option is listed for a specific vehicle.
- Every Saturday in March, April, and May: 6-hour minimum for every event type, because of prom season.
You can always book more than the minimum. Seventy-eight percent of Phoenix groups book exactly 4 hours, 10% book 6, 6% book 5, and 5% book 7 or more. On Saturdays, one in four groups adds a fifth or sixth hour up front.
Why blocks instead of an hourly rate
Vehicles are reserved in blocks so they can be maintained and staffed with a professional driver between trips. We show 4-, 5-, and 6-hour packages rather than a raw hourly number because that is how nights are actually planned. If you need the hourly figure, it is the all-inclusive total divided by the hours.
Build the night backwards
Start from the last drop-off, not the first pickup. Most Phoenix groups want to end between 11 pm and 1 am. Then add:
- Pickups: 10 minutes per home pickup. Multiple pickups are included, but three houses across Chandler and Gilbert is 30 minutes before the first stop.
- Drive time: East Valley to Old Town Scottsdale is 30–40 minutes on a Saturday evening; downtown Phoenix to Westgate is 25–35.
- Dinner: a sit-down dinner is about 90 minutes door to door. Groups that include one almost always want the fifth hour.
- Each bar or venue stop: 45–75 minutes, plus 10 to regroup.
- Buffer: 15–20 minutes. Overtime starts 15 minutes past your reserved end time and is billed hourly, and a mid-trip extension is only possible if the vehicle is not booked next.

Pick the right start time
Six pm is the single most common pickup in Phoenix, and it is often the wrong one. A 6 pm start with a 4-hour block ends at 10 pm — before last call in Old Town. Groups whose night is about bars start at 7:30 or 8 and end at 11:30 or midnight. Groups whose night is about dinner start at 6 and book 5 hours. Afternoon starts (29% of pickups begin between 1 and 5 pm) are mostly weddings, game days, and Sunday brunch crawls — and the ones most likely to qualify for a 3-hour minimum.
Three worked examples
- Gilbert birthday, 16 riders, Saturday. Pickup 6:30, dinner at SanTan Village 7:00–8:30, two Old Town stops 9:15–11:15, home by midnight. That is 5.5 hours — book 6.
- Scottsdale bachelor party, 12 riders, Friday. Resort pickup 8:00, three Old Town bars, drop 12:00. Four hours works because there are no home pickups and no dinner.
- Suns game, 20 riders, Wednesday. Tempe pickup 5:30, tip-off 7:00, exit 9:45, drop 10:15. Under 5 hours on a weekday — ask about the 3-hour option and book 5 to be safe.
