34-Passenger Coach Bus

The short answer

Is 34 seats the right size?

Thirty to thirty-four, which in practice means a full roster plus coaches, a trainer and a couple of parents.

The bays underneath are the reason teams pick it. Duffels, ball bags, coolers and pop-up tents go below instead of down the aisle, and screens up front mean film on the way out and a movie on the way back. Restroom, Wi-Fi, reclining seats, a microphone and power at every seat come standard.

Thirty-one or thirty-two travels fine on the 32-passenger coach bus. Thirty-five or thirty-six is the 36-passenger coach bus.

The experience

What the trip is like on the 34-passenger shuttle-style coach bus

Athletes, coaches and hard cases stop stacking in the aisle once the rows and the bay straps are planned in advance.

On a site tour, the host narrates between stops over the PA, and cameras stay away unless the site says yes.

Church groups board by congregation, so the headcount at each campus curb takes thirty seconds.

The 34-Passenger Coach Bus is the gear coach. Club teams with coaching staff, competition cases and site tours with several stops all pick it, because the extra rows and bay space matter more than scenery.

A smaller wedding shuttle can drop to the 32. A red-rock sightseeing day belongs on the 36.

It also handles plant tours where photos aren't allowed, and church regional events that still fit under full-size.

Local numbers

Book the day the schedule drops

Only about one group in five that contacts us is over twenty passengers, and roughly one in fourteen is over thirty. A roster of twenty-four athletes with coaches, a trainer and a few parents sits in that last sliver.

There are far fewer buses at this size than at twenty seats. That's the whole argument for calling the day the tournament schedule is published rather than the week before the first road game.

February is the pinch point. It's the single biggest month for sports requests in the Valley, because the Phoenix Open and the start of Cactus League play collide with club volleyball, soccer and baseball season. This bus spends the rest of its year on tournament charters to Tucson, Flagstaff and Las Vegas, band and cheer trips, youth conference travel and the occasional festival crew shuttle.

Sizing

Size up or size down?

The 32-passenger coach bus seats two fewer and is a little easier at hotel entrances, which matters more on an overnight than a day trip.

The 36-passenger coach bus gives you one more row, which most teams turn into the staff section. If the travel party is pushing forty once parents are counted, the 42-passenger coach bus is laid out to keep a coaching row intact.

For the banquet or a championship night, the 34-passenger party bus swaps recliners for lighting and a dance floor. This coach fits the bus lanes at most Valley high schools and at complexes like Reach 11, Legacy Sports Park and the Tempe Sports Complex. Older school lots with narrow gates are where it gets interesting, so flag those to us.

Local know-how

Phoenix tips for this vehicle

  • Send a gear list. Athletic trips go wrong without bay planning.
  • Tell your driver before you leave if a site has banned photography.
  • If you want Sedona overlook pacing, look at the 36 rather than forcing it here.
  • Parents and coaches count toward the seat total.

Booking a coach this size

  • Attach the gear list to the request.
  • Site NDAs and badge rules? Tell us and we'll pass them to your driver.
  • Competitions need call times and release windows.
  • Ask about multi-day rates for statewide tournaments.

Behind the wheel

Safety and your chauffeur

  • We go through the gear list so the weight sits correctly under the coach.
  • Site hosts approve any photography before a stop happens.
  • Chauffeurs brief the emergency exits on every school and club charter, and open drinks stay off the highway.

34-Passenger Coach Bus FAQ

Straight answers on minimum hours, deposits, what is included, and what to bring.

Everything goes in the bays underneath, and this bus is laid out with that in mind. Send us a list — duffels, ball bags, coolers, pop-up tents, medical kit, plus anything awkward like pole-vault poles or hockey bags. Loading goes fastest when one staff member directs what goes in which bay, so game-day items come out first.
Yes, both are routine. Each is five to six hours each way, so driver hours come into play on long travel days with a late game at the end — ask us about that when you call so the schedule works before anyone books hotels. Send the full tournament schedule and the hotel address. Interstate trips are quoted differently from local hourly work.
Film on the way out, a movie on the way back, mostly. Inputs differ between buses, so tell us what device you'll plug in and we'll confirm it. Load the video onto that device before you leave — the stretches of highway between Phoenix and most tournament cities have patchy data coverage at best.
That's the team's call, and it's worth making before you announce the trip. Some clubs fill spare seats with parents to bring each family's share down. Others keep the bus for athletes and staff so the coaches control the environment. With thirty-four seats, a roster of twenty-two plus five staff leaves seven places to argue over.
Big complexes usually have bus parking or an overflow lot; school-hosted events are hit and miss. Depending on your booking, the bus can stay on site as a cool base between matches or leave and come back. Ask the tournament director for bus instructions and forward them to us. Shade is rare, so the cabin gets cooled before athletes reboard.
The honest answer is that it puts the whole team in one vehicle with a professional, rested driver, which takes tired parents off the highway after a long tournament day. Everyone also arrives at the same time, which coaches care about more than they let on. If your club or school needs documentation from us, ask when you request the quote.
Plan them, or lose an hour. Pick a stop with several fast-casual options and bus parking — a travel plaza or a large shopping center — and tell the chauffeur in advance. Thirty-four orders at one counter takes forty minutes; split across three restaurants it's twenty. Pre-ordered boxed meals for pickup are quicker still. Check eating-on-board rules first.
