Which vehicles are accessible

Shuttle buses and coach buses are the accessible options. They can be equipped with a wheelchair lift, have forward-facing seating with belts, wider aisles, and lower or step-assisted entry, and they carry walkers, folding wheelchairs, and mobility scooters in luggage space. Party buses and stretch limousines are not: both have steps, low doorways, and perimeter seating that does not secure a wheelchair.

How an accessible booking works

1. Tell us the need. Power chair or manual, scooter, walker, or simply no stairs. Power chairs need a lift; a folding manual chair may only need step-assisted entry and storage.
2. We confirm the vehicle and lift. Lift-equipped shuttles are a specific subset, so this is confirmed before you sign — not assumed.
3. Plan the stops for access. A lift needs a level curb or lot with room to deploy. Resort porte-cochères, church lots, and stadium ADA drop zones work; a narrow Old Town side street does not. Give us every address and we will plan staging.
4. Everything else is the same. All-inclusive pricing with gratuity included, unlimited stops within your hours, 4-hour Friday and Saturday minimums, 50% deposit.

Events where this comes up most

• Weddings. Weddings are the largest groups we move (23 riders on average) and the only event where coaches reach a meaningful share (9%). Grandparents and older guests are the usual reason. • Corporate and conference groups. Corporate requests run 7 hours on average and land on weekdays two-thirds of the time. Accessible shuttles are standard practice for company events, and weekday runs often qualify for a 3-hour minimum.
• Family reunions and church groups. Mixed-age groups with mobility needs and luggage. See family reunions and church events.

What to know on the day

• Boarding a lift takes 3–5 minutes per rider. Build that into the timeline at each stop.
• The driver operates the lift and secures the chair; a companion may ride beside the wheelchair position.
• Service animals are welcome. Other pets are allowed with advance approval.
• Airport pickups have 30 minutes after arrival to meet the driver — request extra wait time in advance if baggage or wheelchair assistance may be slow.
• Every vehicle has air conditioning and heat; on summer days the driver keeps the cabin cooled during stops.

If someone wants the party bus anyway

Some groups with a rider who uses a walker or has limited mobility still choose a party bus for the atmosphere. That can work if the rider can manage three or four steps with a handrail and the group plans stops with curb-level staging. Tell us about it honestly and we will say whether a specific bus is realistic or whether a limo-style Sprinter (lower step-in, high roof) is the better compromise. What we will not do is put a wheelchair user on a vehicle that cannot secure the chair.
