16-Passenger Stretch Limousine

Twelve to sixteen riders who could take a party bus and want the long black car instead.

The short answer

Is 16 seats the right size?

Twelve to sixteen people who want a limousine on purpose. Thirteen or fourteen adults is comfortable, and sixteen teenagers in formalwear works for a prom run.

You get wrap-around J-seating, a flat-screen, the stocked bar, fiber-optic ceiling and a partition. Nobody stands up, and there's no dance floor area until the 18-passenger stretch limo.

If dancing matters more than the entrance, the 16-passenger party bus is what almost everyone this size takes. Twelve or fewer, the 14-passenger stretch limo has the same features in a shorter body.

Amenities vary slightly by vehicle, so tell us your must-haves when you request a quote.

A look at the 16-Passenger Stretch Limousine

Sixteen seats of lounge seating in a traditional stretch, with the bar, the fiber-optic ceiling and a flat-screen.

Prom groups who want the classic photos book it, along with girls' nights around Scottsdale Quarter and concert drops at Mortgage Matchup Center (formerly Footprint Center).

Downtown streets close and change their loading rules on event nights, so agree on a pickup corner before you walk in. For prom, send the school's arrival rules and the address parents approved.

The experience

Limo styling at sixteen seats

The 16-Passenger Stretch Limousine arrives before your pickup time with the air on and the lighting low and the bar ready. Pick one person to talk to the chauffeur and the night runs on one set of instructions instead of 16.

This is for fourteen to sixteen riders who want lounge seating and a limousine at the curb rather than a bus. Prom groups, wedding parties and concert guests usually land here after comparing the 14 and the 18.

Ask what your group will actually do between stops. Photos and a direct transfer suit this car. A long night of bar-hopping with everyone boarding every twenty minutes goes easier on a bus or a Sprinter, where the step is lower and the aisle is wider.

For a concert, use one pickup and agree on a post-show meeting point. Downtown streets close and change loading rules on event nights. For prom, send the school's arrival rules and the final address parents have signed off on.

Local numbers

Picking a limo when everyone else books a bus

At sixteen to twenty people, a party bus is what we quote nearly every single time. This limo is the exception, and it exists for the groups who want to be the exception.

The reason is almost always the arrival. Eight couples stepping out of one long car at the entrance is the picture a lot of families have in their heads for prom or homecoming.

Prom is where the crunch shows up. Four out of five prom groups who call us want a Saturday, and every school in the Valley wants the same handful of them in April and May. A big stretch is one car. If this is the one you want for a dance or a graduation night, ask the week the date is announced. For a gala on a weeknight, it's a completely different story.

Best uses

What Phoenix groups book the 16-passenger stretch limousine for

  • Weddings

Getting the wedding party between the hotel, the ceremony and the reception without anyone driving or parking.

  • Anniversaries

A quiet cabin, a drink poured before you pull away, and a dinner reservation you arrive at on time.

  • Client and executive travel

A vehicle that looks the part at the curb and stays quiet enough to keep talking in.

  • Prom and formals

Parents like it because nobody drives. Students like it because of the photos. Both work.

  • A night out in Scottsdale

Dinner in Old Town and a stop or two after, with no parking and no designated driver.

  • Airport transfers

Sky Harbor pickups for up to 16, though bags need counting first — send us the number.

Sizing

Size up or size down?

The 14-passenger stretch limo has the same J-seating and screen in a shorter body, and it's the better call if you're at twelve or thirteen. The 18-passenger stretch limo adds a dance floor area and LED zones, which gives the cabin more of a party mood even though everyone stays seated while you're moving.

The honest comparison is the 16-passenger party bus: headroom, a subwoofer, boarding that takes a minute instead of five. The limo answers with the look, and with the fact that everyone stays in a seat, which for a prom is exactly what a lot of parents want.

A car this long needs a straight curb to load. School loops and resort drives are fine. Small restaurant lots and tight cul-de-sacs may not be. Sixteen families splitting one total keeps each share manageable.

Local know-how

Phoenix tips for this vehicle

  • Send your photographer the pickup address and time so the 16-Passenger Stretch Limousine makes the shot list instead of showing up in the background.
  • For a weekend date, give us three to four weeks. Wedding season and prom season both fill the calendar fast.
  • For a Sky Harbor pickup, send the flight number and we will track it. If the flight slides, we slide with it.
  • The best light for photos on the move is along Camelback Road or through Papago Park, roughly 5:30 to 7 in winter and 6:30 to 8 in summer.
  • Summer evenings beat summer afternoons for boarding. The cabin cools fast, but standing on asphalt at 112 degrees is nobody's favorite part of the night.
  • Ask about red carpet service for a wedding or prom — we can roll out an actual one at the pickup.

Behind the wheel

Safety and your chauffeur

  • Every stretch limousine we run, this one included, gets checked before it leaves the yard — mechanical systems, cabin, and every amenity you were told about.
  • The 16-passenger limit is a legal seating limit, not a suggestion. Count every rider including yourself, and we will point you one size up if it is tight.
  • Tell us about mobility needs, luggage, child seats or a venue with awkward access when you book, so the 16-Passenger Stretch Limousine turns up ready for your group rather than for an average one.

16-Passenger Stretch Limousine FAQ

Straight answers on minimum hours, deposits, what is included, and what to bring.

The entrance and the mood. A long stretch is a formal statement, the cabin is quieter, and everybody stays in a seat, which some parents and hosts prefer. The bus wins on headroom, sound and how fast you get on and off. If the arrival is the highlight, take the limo. If the ride is, take the bus.
Sixteen teenagers fit. Full skirts take extra room, so fourteen is the number that feels good. Put the biggest dresses on last so they sit near the door. Corsages survive better if you pin them after the ride. If you're a firm sixteen with large gowns, the 18 buys you the breathing room.
No. It's considerably longer than a standard limousine, and it loads from the street in front of the house, which makes a better photo anyway. Clear the curb of parked cars for the pickup window. If your street is a narrow cul-de-sac, tell us so the chauffeur can work out the approach beforehand.
Our rules on chaperones and riders under 21 are written into the terms, so ask when you request the quote. Whatever the policy, the chauffeur runs the itinerary the booking parent gave us and won't add unscheduled stops. A lot of families pass the chauffeur's number around the parents' group chat for the night.
Yes. It carries twelve to fourteen attendants with bouquets and jackets, and it photographs beautifully at a resort entrance. Bridesmaids in long gowns board slower than they would onto a Sprinter, so add five minutes per leg. For a summer wedding, ask the chauffeur to have the cabin cold before anyone leaves the hotel.
Premium sound, a flat-screen, fiber-optic ceiling lighting and the wet bar with glassware. It's a lounge, not a nightclub. How you connect for music or video varies by car, so confirm Bluetooth or cable in advance. If you want club lighting and real bass, that lives in the party bus range instead.
It depends on the date and the hours, and neither one is always cheaper. Both are quoted as a total for the vehicle, not per seat. Easiest thing is to ask for both on the same date and itinerary and compare. We don't publish prices because day of week, season and route move the number a lot.
