28-Passenger Coach Bus

Stadium-hopping comfort for twenty-four to twenty-eight fans: a cold cabin waiting after nine innings in the sun, without turning the ride into a party.

The short answer

Is 28 seats the right size?

Twenty-four to twenty-eight people spending a day at the ballpark, and the thing that matters most isn't the seats — it's the air conditioning.

Reboarding after three hours in the March sun is the moment this bus justifies itself. There's also a restroom, Wi-Fi, reclining seats, a microphone, overhead bins and power at every seat. Alumni chapters, company client days and three generations of one family in matching jerseys all end up here.

Twenty-five or fewer works on the 26-passenger coach bus. Want screens, or bringing chairs and coolers? Go to the 30-passenger coach bus.

A look at the 28-Passenger Coach Bus

Comfort for a two-stadium day, with the restroom right there in the lot line. Bags ride in the cabin at this size rather than under the bus.

Spring-training doubleheaders, Scottsdale incentive loops with a desert photo stop, Paradise Valley wedding guest shuttles.

Send both stadium addresses and first-pitch times. If people are bringing hard roller cases, step up to the 30, where the luggage bays are.

The experience

What the trip is like on the 28-passenger shuttle-style coach bus

Between stadiums, the air conditioning and the restroom are what keep a doubleheader from turning into a long afternoon in a parking lot.

On a reward day, whoever's hosting can talk the group through the desert photo stop over the PA instead of shouting over traffic.

Wedding guests board at one resort and step off at the next. This length still fits a Paradise Valley entrance that a forty-foot coach can't get into.

The 28-Passenger Coach Bus is built for a two-park spring-training day. Soft bags ride in the cabin, the restroom is right there, and there's no under-bus storage to slow the transfer between games.

A smaller company outing can take the 26. Once hard roller cases or a Flagstaff drive come into it, the 30 has the luggage bays you'll want.

It also does Scottsdale reward days for sales teams and wedding guest runs into Paradise Valley, where the resort driveways are tighter than they look.

Local numbers

February belongs to baseball

Roughly a quarter of the sports trips we're asked about are for February dates, when the WM Phoenix Open and the first Cactus League games land in the same two weeks. It's the single most concentrated stretch of the year for large vehicles.

The trick is that spring training is mostly weekday afternoon baseball. Lighter crowds, easier parking, and buses that aren't already spoken for.

A Tuesday doubleheader is a genuinely great day out — ten ballparks sit within about an hour of each other, so Sloan Park at one and Salt River Fields in the evening is an easy pairing. The same bus does a Cardinals or Suns game day, an ASU tailgate where the group wants a calm ride home, and the occasional family reunion outing.

Best uses

What Phoenix groups book the 28-passenger shuttle-style coach bus for

  • Spring-training doubleheaders

Two Cactus League parks in one day, with the drive between them planned.

  • Reward days

Sales team outings across Fashion Square and Old Town.

  • Wedding shuttles

Guests from the ceremony to the reception, all on one coach.

  • Tailgate transfers

    Game-day groups that don't need a full-size bus.

  • Sales ride-alongs

A day of meetings across several properties for a mid-size team.

  • Faith conferences

Church conference transport across the Valley.

Sizing

Size up or size down?

The 26-passenger coach bus is the same bus minus two seats. The 30-passenger coach bus is the smarter move if your group is bringing folding chairs, coolers or a box of merch, because under-floor storage and screens both start there.

For fans who'd rather tailgate on board with a bar and a pole, the 28-passenger party bus carries the same number.

At ballparks, size helps right up until it doesn't. Cactus League stadiums all have charter bus parking, but it's usually at the far end of the lot, so plan on a walk. Goodyear, Surprise and Peoria are a long way from the East Valley — a West Valley park and an East Valley park in one day means over an hour of driving between them.

Local know-how

Phoenix tips for this vehicle

  • Stadium bag rules change. Keep hard cases off the cabin floor.
  • If people are bringing real luggage, step up to the 30 for the bays.
  • Send both stadium addresses and first-pitch times when you book.
  • For a wedding, your best guess at when the ceremony ends is what sets the reception pickup time.

Booking a coach this size

  • Name both parks and the transfer window you want.
  • For a reward day, tell us where you want to stop for photos so we can check it's allowed.
  • A wedding shuttle quote needs a contact at both properties.
  • Spring-training Saturdays book out three to five weeks ahead.

Behind the wheel

Safety and your chauffeur

  • We plan where the coach waits at the stadium ahead of time, so you reboard away from the crowd.
  • Drivers hold passenger-endorsed commercial licenses, and we review their records.
  • Coolers stay closed on the highway. Ask us about drink rules when you call.

28-Passenger Coach Bus FAQ

Straight answers on minimum hours, deposits, what is included, and what to bring.

Yes, if you pair the ballparks sensibly. Sloan Park with Salt River Fields, Scottsdale Stadium with Tempe Diablo, or Camelback Ranch with Goodyear all work. Check start times first, because day-night pairings are limited. The bus kills the two worst parts of a double-header day: parking twice, and hunting for your car in a hot lot afterwards.
Each ballpark has a bus or oversize area, usually toward the back of the main lot, and some charge a parking fee for it. Your chauffeur will drop you near the gate first where traffic control allows. Pick a landmark for the post-game meeting point — twenty-eight people leaving through four different gates is how groups lose half an hour.
Cold enough that you'll notice it on the first step. Your chauffeur starts cooling the cabin before the last out if you've shared a rough finish time. Late March afternoon games get genuinely hot, and a group that's baked in the sun for three hours recovers fast in a cooled cabin with tinted windows. Bring water for the ride anyway.
It's usually the safer call. Everyone gets a comfortable seat, it looks professional pulling up, and the microphone lets the host welcome clients and explain the plan. Nobody's hunting for parking or driving after a few beers. If the tone is meant to be festive rather than polished, some companies pick a party bus instead.
That's this bus's strong suit. Forward-facing seats, armrests, a restroom and a quiet cabin work for every age, and nobody has to fit car seats across three rental cars. Tell us the ages of any young children when you ask for the quote, since child-restraint requirements depend on both age and vehicle type.
Both have charter bus procedures, and they're different. State Farm sends buses to specific lots that change by event. Footprint Center downtown has no large lot at all, so buses drop off on nearby streets and stage elsewhere. Either way, agree on your pickup spot before you walk in, and expect twenty to thirty minutes of post-game traffic.
Generally yes — the bus is locked while it's parked — but ask your chauffeur and don't leave anything valuable. Stadium bag policies are strict, usually clear bags only, so leaving backpacks on board is often the simplest answer. Anything heat-sensitive, like medication or chocolate, should come with you or go in a cooler.
