You can take a party bus, limo or charter bus to Phoenix Raceway — the track's facility map marks an entry area used by limos, charter buses and rideshare. How the trip goes

Race day is eight or nine hours

Count the blocks and you'll see why. The drive out to Avondale runs 45 to 60 minutes from the East Valley and about 30 from Glendale or Peoria, most groups want two to three hours of midway and pre-race, the race itself goes around three, and clearing the lots takes an hour or more.

Getting in is easy. Getting out takes patience no matter what you're riding in, because the roads into the track are limited and officers release the lots in stages. The difference on a bus is that you're sitting in air conditioning with a cold drink while it happens.

Send us your ticket or hospitality details. The track routes vehicles differently depending on what you hold, and entry letters and approaches can change from year to year. Check the raceway's parking and directions page during race week and forward anything they send you.

Traffic around the track is routed by lot, credential and which direction you're coming from. Tell us whether you're holding a parking or hospitality credential and we'll use the approach the track publishes for it.

Your group gets the track address. The driver gets the entry letter, the route and the credential. If he has to come back after dropping you, we check whether that's the same entry or a different one, because a short reposition on a map can be impossible on race day.

What Entry E does and doesn't mean

The facility map showing limos and charter buses near Entry E is good news — it means hired transportation is planned for. It isn't a standing pass, so we ask the raceway which credential, lane and unloading point apply to your date and vehicle.

Unloading, waiting and pickup are three separate permissions, and a charter bus can get a different answer than a limo. If the bus can't stay nearby, we set a legal waiting spot and an expected approach time once you say you're ready.

The post-race plan has to bend

A race can end early or run long, and emptying the grandstands, the hillside and hospitality takes a while. Build the pickup off the end of the race plus time to walk, and pick a landmark people can reach without hiking along a shuttle road.

One person holds the list and talks to the driver; everybody else reports to that person. Check the fan guide and parking page during race week, then send the final meeting point once any traffic bulletin is out. Sort accessible parking and shuttle paths before you leave home.

Why one long booking beats two transfers

Most Valley nights out are four hours. A race weekend is about double that, and in past quotes each hour after the first four has cost less than the hours before it — so a single full-day booking beats trying to arrange two separate transfers and paying overtime on both.

Party buses are what this market runs on, and a race crew usually starts at the 20-passenger party bus. Those figures are a record of past quotes rather than a price list; your written quote sets the real number.

The track's facility map shows an entry area used by rideshare, taxis, limos and charter buses. Which route applies to you depends on that weekend's traffic plan and the credentials you're holding. Check the raceway's current parking and directions page before race week and send us any pass instructions you receive.
Eight to nine from most of the Valley. That's the drive to Avondale, two to three hours of pre-race on the midway, about three hours of racing, then an hour or more just to get out of the lots. Ask for a full-day quote rather than bolting hours onto a short booking.
Slow for everyone, often an hour or more just to reach I-10. The roads around the track are limited and officers release the lots in stages. On a bus you're waiting in air conditioning with your group rather than in a line of cars. Some groups stay for post-race activities and leave after the first wave.
That comes down to where your vehicle is assigned. Tailgating is part of race culture across many of the parking areas, but bus and limo areas can follow different rules than the general lots. Tell us you plan to tailgate, and confirm what's allowed for your parking type with the raceway before race day.
About twenty miles from downtown Phoenix and around thirty-two from Old Town Scottsdale — roughly 30 and 45 minutes on an ordinary day. On race morning, the last few miles south of I-10 are the slow part, so leaving early saves you more time than any route choice will.
For forty or more guests, take the coach. Forward-facing seats, bays for giveaways and coolers, and a calmer ride suit a client day. For a group of friends under thirty, a party bus makes the long drive and the exit traffic part of the fun. Both have the air conditioning that matters most.
Sun protection, ear protection and water. Avondale race days are bright and get warm even in spring and fall. Anything you don't want to carry stays on the bus. The raceway sets its own rules for coolers and bags at the gates, so check its current guest guide before you pack.
